David Thornton said; ‘Hovertravel’s history is obviously strongly linked to the Isle of Wight and their recent memories campaign has encouraged people from as far away as New Zealand to get in touch and say why they enjoyed using Hovertravel to travel to the Isle of Wight. I am looking forward to this special celebration on 4th August and to meeting some of the guests who have shared their experiences from the past 50 years.’
Hovertravel is celebrating its inaugural journey on 4th August with an extra special Golden Commemorative Charter where fifty lucky guests will experience an unique trip on the Solent, complete with expert commentary from a hovercraft pilot. The guests will then be invited to join some of the Hovertravel team for a sumptuous afternoon tea at their Ryde terminal.
Loretta Lale, Commercial and Marketing Manager at Hovertravel, adds: ‘We will be contacting all the lucky guests to give them details of the event, so if you have submitted a memory to us please keep a look out for a special invitation.’
