With the completion last September of the new Cabin School, built specifically for Key Stage 1, the Priory School focus for early years education has been a resounding success – children are taught by Montessori-trained staff for Reception year, with an emphasis on “outside” learning through nature and the seasons. Young pupils can also enjoy regular school trips to St. Mildred’s Chapel, participating in a number of seasonal celebrations, affirming the school’s Christian identity.
Priory School actively encourages it’s pupils to become involved in all areas of sports activities, whatever their age or ability – professional coaches are available for cricket, rugby and football – the school also supports equestrian pursuits with both dressage and show jumping teams. School clubs are also available which enable children to be picked up by their parents after school.
With a record of outstanding pastoral care and with maximum class sizes of 16, Priory School aims to provide the best education possible for Island children, with waiting lists now for Year 5 and Year 6.
Priory School is a happy, positive and stimulating place for young children to learn and have fun, allowing them to develop and fully contribute to the daily activities of the school. For further information please contact Sarah Gully – 01983 861 222 to arrange a school visit.www.prioryschool.org.uk
