This Bank Holiday Monday (4th May), join in The May Day Street Party including the ‘Great Navy Bake Off’ along with lots of other free fun activities for all ages at Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower, Gosport.
To take part in the Bake Off, create a cake inspired by the sea or the Navy and bring it along to the museum from 11.30am on Bank Holiday Monday. It will go on public display before being judged at the end of the day by baking expert Klara Mansfield, owner of Klara’s Cakes in Gosport. There are great prizes up for grabs for the winner and runner-up, plus the people’s choice winner. So on your marks, get set…bake!
Entries need to be registered before the 4th May. Please contact 023 9272 7595 or firstname.lastname@example.org to submit your competition entry (maximum of 2 entries per person).
The event is free with a valid ticket to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, which includes a boat trip to Priddy’s Hard, the location for this exciting interactive museum. It’s set in a huge 200-year-old storehouse where the Royal Navy used to keep 6,500 barrels of gunpowder.
