Hovertravel has again demonstrated huge support for Go Orange Day this year. Both the Southsea and Ryde terminals were turned orange with displays, balloons and buckets. Everyone from cashiers to crew and from pilots to product development supported the day by wearing orange to raise awareness of the Independent Lifeboats and the work they do.
To encourage donations, free oranges were handed out to customers throughout the day.
Loretta Lale, Commercial and Marketing Manager at Hovertravel, adds: ‘Our neighbours around the Isle of Wight have been incredibly generous and we have received free oranges from Iceland, Barrow Boys, Medina Food, Sainsbury’s plus some donation buckets form B&Q. Thanks to everyone who helped us raise awareness of the work of these unsung heroes of our Solent community.’
