Isle of Wight Milk has been launched successfully after two IW Dairy Cows visited Cowes Co-op to launch the new brand of milk.
Local Milk is now available in shops across the island, and both Co-op and Tesco supermarkets.
IW Dairy Farmers Ltd are now asking for the help of the public to go into stores and ask for IW Milk.
Louise Hart said ‘we are really pleased with the support we have received from Tesco and The Southern Co-operative and we are working closely with many more supermarkets in a effort to keep the milk our cows produce here on the Island. Currently over 80% of milk we produce here is sent away to the mainland, passing mainland milk on the Solent. Without a demand for IW Milk then there is no need for IW Cows to live here and graze our rolling green pastures’
Please support the campaign by signing our petition www.thewightstuff.org or by asking for IW milk in your local shop.
