Ventnor Mum Defies the Recession and gets the Isle of Wight Toddlebiking!
Ventnor mum Melissa Ayling has defied the recession by launching a new venture for Toddlers and their families on the Isle of Wight just in time for summer.
Melissa was introduced to Toddlebike by her 18 month old daughter when visiting a baby & toddler show on the mainland last year.
“As soon as Megan tried the Toddlebike she was hooked – so the Toddlebike came home with us and has been ridden daily since then. After realising its potential, I succeeded in securing the sole rights to bring the Toddlebike to the Isle of Wight.”
Toddlebikers will soon be able to attend events around the island with their toy as Melissa will be building a community of children and parents who can enjoy co-ordinated events and activities.
Toddlebike is a first bike for toddlers aged 18 to 36 months and is a lightweight, pedal-less precursor to balance or pedal bikes and scooters. The Toddlebike teaches key skills – balance; co-ordination and self-propulsion, and is a great way to encourage exercise as children choose to ride on their Toddlebike rather than sitting in the buggy. Being made of sturdy plastic makes the Toddlebike perfect for this as it can be used on most terrains indoors or out, whatever the weather.
