Caterpillar Music Classes Annual Sponsorship Event

This October the children from Caterpillar Music classes are once again coming together to partake in the Annual Sponsorship Event for 2009 to raise money for needy Island causes.  This year the children are raising money for a much needed piece of equipment for Beaulieu House and also are showing continued support for NICU.

The event is a 2.5 mile “Wilderness Walk” starting at The Chequers Inn, Rookley. A fun day out for all the children who will be awarded lots of prizes for animal costumes, animal face painting, animal masks.  Prizes also for a Butterfly colouring competition in 2 age groups and also prizes for best dressed Butterflies in two age categories.

Many Island businesses have once again donated towards our Raffle.The group are delighted that Sister Pamela George from NICU will be joining them on the walk and accepting the presentation cheque. Carol Behenna the Manager of Beaulieu House is also hoping to partake in the walk along with other members from Beaulieu House.  Both will be making a speech to all the parents present.

Presently the group have in the region of 60-80 walkers which is far more than last year and they hope to raise in the region of £1000.00 although this figure is yet to be confirmed.
